Victor Marquez an up coming jazz and blues artist, started his musical career at the age of 10, playing the guitar. At a young age Victor took a strong interest in music. Victor put his first band together at the age of 13, The Band was called, “Little Victor and the Invaders.” The band was extremely talented for being so young. The first song that Victor learned on his guitar was, “What I say” by Ray Charles. Victor major influences in Music came from Motown, and the hardest working man in show business James Brown.

 

Victor’s guitarist influences are many, ranging from Jimi Hendrix’s, Santana, Albert King, B.B King, George Benson, and Wes Montgomery. Now that Victor has retired from the nine to five, his focus and goals is now to become a Blues and Jazz recording Artist. Victor has completed his first EP, “Old Love.” The four songs on this EP are songs that express situations we’ve all experienced in life to some degree or another. I hope you can relate to and enjoy the music. I dedicate this CD to my wife Lucy. She’s my number one fan. I’ve been in Love with her for over 50 years. Furthermore, I dedicate this CD to my Moms who bought me my first guitar. Like most big family we were poor. She still found away to put the guitar on layaway and keep up the payments. What a Blessing. Much Love Moms. Still going strong at 92 years young. Lastly I thank my “Family” for always being my biggest supporters. I specially like to thank Tim Southerland for his mentoring and patience.
